Update

Ok. We finally made the move in August. Much closer to home and nice places to ride around the property, which makes Wyatt and I both happy. Now, Lady, who is entering a more seasoned stage of her life, doesn't have much of an opinion of where she is as long as Wyatt and I are a constant in her surroundings. Here there's no old alpha mare of the type she nicks with so in a way she's looked kind of starry-eyed and, well, lost. She's been less sociable than Wyatt. He's always interested in making new friends or to see who he can pester or impress across the fence as opposed to inside a fence, where he knows the teasing could get him in real trouble. I do find it peculiar that Wyatt, as opposed to Lady (who has been known to turn on her southern charm with the boys ), would turn out be such a social butterfly. Seems he's always making new friends or maybe even recognizing past aquaintances--because it truly can be an even smaller world for horses than it is for humans. You know, he really is a great guy. Everybody likes Wyatt. Except for Baby--but that's another story.

To close this way overdue update, Mom's is needing me more and more these days so I don't have too many opportunities to spend idle time just hanging out with my horses--well, I've never truly had all the time I'd like to have, and now that the opportunities are less and less, I try to make every minute count.
